Preparing a patient for surgery begins with running pre-anesthetic in-house lab work to assess your cat's overall health and ensure they are ready for the procedure. We place an intravenous (IV) catheter to provide a reliable way to administer medications and fluids during the surgery.
Your cat will also receive pre-anesthetic (comfort) medications. These medications are designed to reduce stress and the amount of anesthetic gas required during the procedure, contributing to a smoother and safer experience.
We induce anesthesia using a safe medication that minimizes the need for anesthetic gas. Once your cat is under anesthesia, the surgical site is prepared by carefully clipping the hair around the area and cleaning it thoroughly to maintain sterility.
Our surgical suite is dedicated exclusively to aseptic surgical procedures, ensuring a clean and controlled environment for every operation. Throughout the anesthetic event, we closely monitor your cat to ensure their safety and comfort.

As your cat wakes up from anesthesia, we provide consistent monitoring, warmth, and oxygen therapy. Pain medication is administered as needed to ensure a safe and comfortable recovery period.
Depending on the type of procedure, your cat may need to stay with us overnight or for a few days. This allows us to provide the best post-operative support and care, ensuring your cat's comfort and safety during their recovery.
